Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
If the verification challenges keep failing, use these supported recovery paths:
- Stop repeated attempts for a while. Repeated failed attempts can trigger additional security checks or temporary blocks.
- Try a different verification method if one is available on the account.
- Try from a different device and a different network. Switching between Wi‑Fi and cellular can help identify whether the current environment is causing the block.
- If verification codes are involved, avoid making excessive or repetitive requests, because that can cause temporary blocking.
- If access to the listed phone number or email is lost, select I don't have any of these during sign-in and follow the prompts.
- If the account is blocked, wait before trying again. Guidance in Microsoft Support says to wait a day, and if there is still no change after 24 hours, wait longer if possible, up to 1 week.
- If sign-in still fails, use the sign-in helper or contact support through Get Help / Contact Support.
To reach a human support option:
- In Windows, open Settings with Windows key + I.
- Go to System.
- Open Get Help.
- Enter the issue in the search box.
- If the issue is not resolved, select Contact Support.
- Choose the product/service, confirm, and then select Chat with a support agent in your web browser or the callback option if offered.
Important limits called out by Microsoft Support:
- Support agents are not allowed to send password reset links.
- Support agents are not allowed to send verification codes.
- Support agents are not allowed to access or change account details.
