How to zoom in

I can't zoom in on a document using either the slider bar, control with mouse, or any other suggestions that I have found online. I even rebooted by computer but nothing works. I need help so I can read what I am typing.

In Word, this usually happens when Side to Side is enabled, which disables normal zoom behavior. Switch the page movement back to Vertical:

Open Word.
Go to the View tab.
In the Page Movement group, click Vertical.
Try zooming again with the slider at the bottom-right, Ctrl + mouse wheel, or the Zoom controls on the View tab.

If zoom is working normally again, the document should become easier to read while typing.

Supported zoom methods in Word include:

Status bar zoom slider
Ctrl + Plus (+) to zoom in
Ctrl + Minus (-) to zoom out
View tab > Zoom 100% or Zoom
