An annual Microsoft 365 subscription does not provide unlimited Copilot Voice: Personal and Family receive Standard usage, Premium receives More usage, and Pro receives the Highest usage tier.^1^
Check the account and plan
- Open your Microsoft account’s Services & subscriptions page.
- Confirm that:
- The subscription is active.
- It is Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, Premium, or Pro.
- Copilot.com is signed in with that exact Microsoft account.
- If it is a Family subscription, this account is the subscription owner. AI benefits cannot be shared with other family members.^2^
- In Services & subscriptions, check the displayed AI-credit or usage status. Microsoft reports reached limits there and through in-product notifications.^1^
If Copilot.com is using another personal, work, or school account, sign out and then sign in with the subscription-owner account.
What the daily-limit message means
Copilot Voice has its own feature limit. Limits can vary by plan, feature, entry point, region, and system conditions. A voice conversation can also disconnect automatically when its session limit is reached.^3^
- If the correct plan is recognized and its voice allowance has been consumed, wait for the stated reset time.
- If you require more voice usage, compare Premium or Pro; Pro has the highest documented voice tier.
- The Upgrade message can therefore appear even with a paid Personal or Family plan—it offers a plan with higher limits rather than indicating that the annual subscription is unpaid.
Microsoft does not publish a fixed number of voice minutes in the supplied plan table, so the usage tier and the reset message shown in your account are the relevant indicators.
If the subscription is not being recognized
If Services & subscriptions shows an active eligible plan owned by the same account, but Copilot.com treats it as free immediately—even before meaningful voice use—contact Microsoft Support and ask them to check the account’s Copilot entitlement and usage-limit status. Home users with continuing license-validation problems are directed to Support.^4^
Use the Microsoft Support contact page:
https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact
Select Get Help, sign in with the subscription-owner account, and provide:
- The exact Microsoft 365 plan shown under Services & subscriptions
- A screenshot of the daily-limit/upgrade message, with personal details hidden
- Whether ordinary text chat works
- Whether Voice has ever worked with this account
- Your country or region, because Voice availability depends on subscription and region^3^
