Try these in order:
- Check whether Windows color filters are on.
- Open Settings > Accessibility > Color filters.
- Make sure all options there are turned off.
- If the screen is in grayscale or black-and-white, this is a common cause.
- Check contrast themes.
- Open Settings and look for Contrast themes.
- Set it to None.
- If a contrast theme is enabled, colors and text can look abnormal.
- Reinstall the graphics adapter.
- Right-click Start > Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters.
- Uninstall the graphics card.
- Restart the PC.
- Windows should reinstall the display driver after restart.
- Run the Windows repair option for update-related problems.
- Open Settings > System > Recovery.
- In Fix problems with Windows Updates, click Reinstall now.
- This process does not affect files, settings, or installed apps.
If the problem is only with pictures and not the whole screen, picture color can also be adjusted inside Office apps by selecting the picture, opening the Format tab, and using Color to change Color Saturation, Color Tone, or remove a Recolor effect.
