Thanks for the update, James. Looks like the Contrast Themes is enabled on your device. To set it back to normal, On your custom theme, I'll suggest you to click Start menu and type Contrast Theme, next to Contrast Themes, please choose None.

Please let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Christine

    Hi Christine,

This occurred after a significant update of W11, in December.

The problem is all programmes, not just outlook. I think the problem is in W11 settings. I think it is related to’ high contrast mode’, but it isn’t clear to me how to access this setting and be confident that it has applied to all programs.

    Thanks

    Hi James,

I'm Christine, I'll be happy to assist you. Looks like you're experiencing color issue on your mail app.

Just to confirm is it only happening on Mail app or the entire system?

May I know when did the issue start? Is there any changes made before you got this issue?

    Will wait for your response.

    Thank you,

    Christine L

    Hi John,

Thanks, I’m going to go through each point, but I have tried these before, but I’ll check again.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue for you:

    1. Check the App Theme: In Outlook, go to File > Options > General and try switching the Office Theme. Sometimes, changing the theme can fix display problems.
    2. Reset the View: Close Outlook completely. Press Windows + R, type outlook.exe /cleanviews, and hit Enter.
    3. Check Windows Display Settings: Double-check that High Contrast Mode or other Accessibility settings aren’t enabled in your Display Settings.

Please give these a try and let me know how it goes.
