Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
A Microsoft 365 subscription is tied to the Microsoft account, not to a specific computer.
For Microsoft 365 for home, one Microsoft account can have only one active Microsoft 365 subscription. If another subscription of the same type is added to that same account, it extends the subscription time and does not create extra billing for a second computer.
To verify what will be billed:
- Sign in to account.microsoft.com/services with the Microsoft account used for Microsoft 365.
- Find the Microsoft 365 subscription.
- Check whether Manage, Cancel, or Change payment appears.
- Review the renewal date and whether recurring billing is turned on.
If recurring billing is on, billing happens on the renewal date for that subscription. If recurring billing is off, the subscription continues until the expiry date and is not billed again automatically.
If the new computer purchase came from a third party or retailer, billing might need to be managed with that provider directly.
