Copilot Chat - iOS App Not Available In UK

Hi,

On my iPhone, my Copilot Chat application has recently updated and is now showing a title of "Copilot (Legacy)".

When searching the Apple App Store for the Chat application, I can only find the MacOS version.

When I search online for the iOS version, the link takes me to the app store, but I get a message saying "App Not Available. This app is currently not available in your country or region".

This is specifically the Copilot Chat application, not the Copilot 365 application.

It's been like this for a few weeks now. Does anyone know why the chat app has been pulled from the UK on iOS?

It seems odd that the MacOS version and Windows versions are still available but iOS is not.

Thank you for reaching out and informed us about the issue with Copilot on your IOS device. I understand that you currently facing with the error This app is currently not available in your country or region. Before we proceed may I ask:

Which subscription do you currently have? (Microsoft 365 Family, Personal,..)
Is your account a personal or a work/school account?

You also mentioned that when you search for a download link for IOS, the error for the app not available showing, this could likely be due to a mismatch in region from your device, do you have any VPN enable on your phone? if yes, please disable it and try again. And as far as I research, Copilot is still available in the UK and there's no official document that mention anything about Copilot being deliberately withdrawn from the UK.

You can also try open Copilot on the web through your web browser as a temporary workaround, If possible, would you mind trying use another IOS device and download Copilot app again to see if it works?

Thanks for coming back to me.

I have Microsoft 365 Family, which is a personal account.

No VPN in use.

I’ve checked someone else’s iOS device and they get the same.

The App Store only shows the 365 version of Copilot, the Chat version is “not available”.

Thanks for the screenshot, based on the data that you provided, and after further research, recent Copilot app consolidation/migration has been rolling out by Microsoft. Based on Microsoft's current Copilot documentation and multiple user reports, the older Copilot Chat experience is being migrated into the newer Microsoft Copilot app rather than continuing as a separate iOS application. That explain why the Copilot (Legacy) version is showing on your device, and I believed that version might no longer supported, and only the Microsoft Copilot is useable.

How do I get my conversations to transfer to the ‘new’ version?

my conversations show in the iOS legacy app, the MacOS app, Windows app, as well as the web copilot version.

But the ‘new’ iOS version shows no history. I’m on the same account etc.

Usually, once you log in your account to Microsoft Copilot app, the chat history will be sync between session and will be showing on the new app too, please try logging to your account first and if your chat still not sync, then I would advise reaching out directly to Microsoft Support since as a Moderator, we do not have any tools or access directly to Copilot to view, modify, or sync chat between session on behalf of users, please follow:

Go to Contact Us - Microsoft Support

Select Copilot

Click Get Home Support

Type a brief description of your issue in the search box.

Click Get Help and select Contact Support below.

Go to the Products and services tab and choose the appropriate product.

On the Category tab, choose the appropriate category or an alternative option.

Go to Confirm. Look for and select "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" (during business hours) if available. Explain your situation clearly.

I've tried logging in and out of the Copilot app, as well as deleting and re-installing etc. Nothing brings the conversation history across.

I'll contact Microsoft Support as suggested
