To reinstall Microsoft 365 or Office on the laptop when the desktop apps may be corrupted, follow these steps:

    1. Uninstall the existing Office/Microsoft 365 apps from the device using Settings > Apps (or Control Panel > Programs and Features) so that the corrupted installation is removed.
    2. Open a web browser on the laptop and go to https://www.office.com.
    3. Sign in with the Microsoft account or work/school account associated with the Microsoft 365 or Office subscription.
    4. After signing in, select Apps (if shown), then choose Install apps and run the installer that is downloaded. This will reinstall the desktop versions of Microsoft 365/Office apps.

If sign-in is blocked when using a work or school account, contact the organization’s Microsoft 365 administrator, as a security policy may be preventing sign-in to that location.

If installation fails with an error, restart the computer and try the installation again. If problems persist, contact Microsoft support for live assistance.

To reach a live representative from Microsoft support:

    1. On Windows, search for Get Help from the Start menu and open it.
    2. Type “Chat with an agent” and press Enter.
    3. Select Contact support at the bottom.
    4. Choose the product (Microsoft 365/Office) and follow the prompts to connect to a live agent or select the Call me back option.
