If you have deleted your Outlook email account (which is typically an alias within a Microsoft account), it may not be recoverable. According to Microsoft, if you remove an alias that is an email address from a Microsoft domain (like @hotmail.com, @live.com, @outlook.com), it is permanently deleted and cannot be associated with any Microsoft account again.

If you deleted your entire Microsoft account, you might be able to recover it within a certain period, but since you mentioned an email account, it seems you are referring to an alias. Unfortunately, once an alias is removed, it is gone permanently.

For more information on managing email aliases, you can refer to Microsoft's support documentation.

    Hi Rosalyn Posada

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand you need to recover a deleted Outlook account.

Please kindly note that this is a public user to user forum, I do not have the ability, tools to unblock, recover accounts or bypass security. Only Microsoft’s official recovery process can restore access.

To let me guide you better, can you please confirm:

    • When you say the account was "deleted", did you close the entire Microsoft account, or did you remove that email address (alias) from the account?
    • What exact message do you see when you try to sign in (e.g., "account is closed" or "account doesn’t exist"?)

In the meantime, here are a few steps that you could try:

     1. Try to reopen the account (if closed within 60 days)

If the account was closed, Microsoft allows a 30‑day or 60‑day period to reopen it by signing in again. If that window has passed, the account can’t be reopened.

If the 30/60‑day window has already passed, Microsoft states the account can no longer be reopened. Please kindly note that this is a public community forum, I do not have the ability, tools to unblock, recover accounts or bypass security. Only Microsoft’s official recovery process can restore access

    2. Try to fill out the Microsoft Account Recovery form (ACSR)

    • Go to: https://account.live.com/acsr
    • Enter your email and an alternate email where Microsoft can contact you.
    • Provide as many accurate details as possible, such as old passwords, frequent contacts/subject lines and submit from a familiar device/location.
    • Wait 24–72 hours for a response. You may refine and resubmit up to twice per day.
    • Please see this official guide to help you fill out the form more accurately: Help with the Microsoft account recovery form- Microsoft Support

For more details, you can see I can't sign in to my Microsoft account - Microsoft Support

Please feel free to let me know how it goes and I’ll guide you further. Thank you for your time and understanding.

    1. Alias

Yes, Microsoft does not allow deleted aliases to be restored, and they permanently block the address so it can never be recreated or reused by anyone else. Its a security to prevent unauthorized users from hijacking old email addresses.

    2. Microsoft Account was closed

After 30 or 60 days has, your acc. is not recoverable. Once the grace period passes, the account and all associated data (emails, OneDrive files, Xbox profiles) are permanently purged from Microsoft's servers and cannot be restored.
