    Hi Nidhi Mishra,

I understand how confusing it can be when a page you previously used is no longer visible after switching to the redesigned preview report.

The Item history page is not included in the new Fabric Capacity Metrics preview report. To check Copilot usage, please switch to the default report in the Microsoft Fabric Capacity Metrics app, open Item history, and select Copilot in Fabric from the Operation filter. The CU(s) values will show the capacity consumed by Copilot activity.

Please note that recent usage may take approximately 10–15 minutes to appear. If you cannot find the default report or the Item history page in the app navigation, please share which pages are currently available so we can help narrow this down.

While my initial response may not fully resolve the issue, I truly appreciate your cooperation as we work together toward identifying the most effective solution. Thank you so much for your understanding.

The redesigned Fabric Capacity Metrics preview report does not include an Item history page; use the separate Item history (preview) experience in the Capacity Metrics app to measure Copilot usage.

    Check Copilot usage

    1. Open the Microsoft Fabric Capacity Metrics app.
    2. In the app navigation, leave the redesigned Fabric Capacity Metrics preview report and open the separate Item history (preview) page.
    3. Select the relevant Capacity name.
    4. Set Operation to Copilot in Fabric.
    5. Optionally narrow the results with:
      • Workspace
      • Experience—to identify the Fabric workload generating the usage
      • Run by
      • Billing type
      • Start Date and End Date
    6. Review CU(s) to see the capacity-unit seconds consumed by Copilot.

Item history provides up to 30 days of compute history. Copilot consumption appears as background operations, and selecting Copilot in Fabric isolates Copilot requests across Fabric workloads.^1^

Why it is absent from the new preview report

Capacity Metrics app version 3.0 has two report experiences:

    • The default report
    • The redesigned Fabric Capacity Metrics app preview report

The redesigned preview report exposes Health, Compute, Storage, Autoscale for Spark, and Help. Its item-level workflow is Compute → Item details, rather than the former Item history page.^2^

The documented Copilot-specific workflow remains the separate Item history experience; the current documentation does not identify an equivalent Copilot in Fabric filter in the redesigned preview report.

If Item history is missing from all app navigation

    • Confirm that this is the installed Microsoft Fabric Capacity Metrics app, not only the redesigned preview report opened directly.
    • Ask the app owner or capacity administrator to verify the installed app version and available report/navigation artifacts. The available documentation does not specify a tenant setting that restores a missing Item history page, so reinstalling or refreshing should not be treated as a confirmed fix.
    • Allow for normal data latency after generating Copilot activity. Usage generally appears within 10–15 minutes.^2^
    • Refresh the app’s semantic model only when a newly created or moved capacity, workspace, or item is missing. This refresh does not restore a missing report page or guarantee that absent Copilot rows will appear.

If your organization configured a Fabric Copilot capacity, check that designated capacity rather than only the capacity hosting the content. Assigned users’ Copilot consumption is automatically billed and monitored through the designated Copilot capacity.^3^
