    Hi, @Dan Lukaczer

This is forum public. Just to narrow this down first before contacting Microsoft Support:

    1. Have you already tried redeeming your Microsoft 365 Family product code, or are you unsure how to switch from Premium?
    2. Where did you obtain the Family product code (Microsoft Store or another retailer)?

In the meantime, you can try switching your subscription using your product code:

    • Go to https://microsoft365.com/setup
    • Sign in with the same Microsoft account associated with your current Premium subscription.
    • Enter your Family product code and check whether an option to switch plans appears. Follow the on-screen instructions if available.

For more information, see Microsoft's guide: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/subscriptions/switch-between-microsoft-365-subscriptions

If you still need an agent, go to https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact describe your subscription issue, and select click “Contact Support” to see the options for speaking with a support representative.

Click “Add comment” to let me know.

    Thanks!

Redeem the Microsoft 365 Family product code with the same Microsoft account that owns your Premium subscription; after entering the key, Microsoft will present the available plan-switching options.^1^

    Redeem the Family code

    1. Go to microsoft365.com/setup.
    2. Sign in with the same personal Microsoft account currently associated with Microsoft 365 Premium.
    3. Enter the Family product key without hyphens.
    4. Select the offered option to switch plans and complete the prompts.
    5. Afterward, check Services & subscriptions in your Microsoft account to confirm that Microsoft 365 Family is displayed.

A retail key only needs to be redeemed once. If it reports that it has already been used, manage the resulting subscription through the Microsoft account rather than entering the key again.^2^

Because Premium-to-Family is a move to a plan with fewer features, Microsoft’s standard non-key process is to cancel the existing subscription and select the lower plan, with the change normally occurring at renewal. The product-key redemption flow may instead show the switching choices applicable to your account.^1^

    Speak with a Microsoft agent

For help applying the change immediately or if no Family switching option appears:

    1. Open Microsoft’s support page.^3^
    2. Select Personal account and then Get help under Microsoft technical support.
    3. Enter: “Switch Microsoft 365 Premium to Family using an unused Family product code.”
    4. Select Contact Support after the suggested help results.
    5. Choose Microsoft 365 and Office → Manage subscription/billing and use the available chat or callback option.

Support availability and contact methods vary by country or region. Do not post the product key publicly; provide it only through Microsoft’s secure redemption page or when an authenticated Microsoft support representative requests the necessary purchase details.
