Hello, I bought a new prebuilt PC from

AMD R7 CPU up to 5.0GHz Gaming PC,RX9070 16 GB GDDR6 VGA,RGB 6000MHz DRAM,B850 Chipset,360mm AIO,850W Gold PSU,Win11 Home,

when I turned on the pc everything was fine, the GPU RGB would turn on but the fans won’t spin, the DDR5 RGB turned on but there was a yellow light for the DRAM and red light for CPU on the motherboard, I don’ know what the problem is but my PC just won’t display on the monitor, what could it be?

If you’re comfortable opening the tower, you can try reseating the RAM sticks, as the Microsoft AI assistant suggested. Please make sure to follow the safety precautions when opening up the case and working inside it. If you’re not comfortable opening the tower, since this is a brand new prebuilt, if none of that works, I’d contact the seller, as it’s covered under warranty.

    Carefully follow these steps;

Completely unplug all the cables at the back of the tower and then press and hold the power button to remove the residual power.

Carefully reseat the RAM sticks firmly until both clips click.

Then check that the 8-pin (or 4+4) CPU power cable at the top of the board is fully seated, and that the AIO pump cable is plugged into the CPU_FAN.

Once done, reconnect the case cover, plug the power cable and the monitor cable back in, and then power the PC back on.

If you are still getting the same results, contact the store for a replacement or repair.

    Hi, let me help you.

Have you tried a hard reset?

Press and hold the power button for 20-30 seconds until the tower powers off. Shut down the PC, unplug the power cable at the back of the tower once it is completely off. Unplug any USB devices too. Now press and hold the power button on the case for about 15 to 30 seconds, then let go. Wait a minute, plug everything back in, switch the power supply back on, and turn the PC on.

This points more to a hardware startup problem than a Windows problem, especially since the PC is new, shows CPU red and DRAM yellow motherboard lights, and never reaches a display.

    Try these checks first:

    1. Check the monitor path
      • Make sure the monitor is powered on.
      • Reseat the HDMI or DisplayPort cable on both ends.
      • Try a different cable or a different monitor input/port.
      • If the system has both motherboard video ports and GPU video ports, connect the monitor to the graphics card outputs first.
    2. Disconnect nonessential peripherals
      • Unplug USB accessories and any extra external devices.
      • Leave only power, monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected.
    3. Force restart the PC
      • Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds.
      • Turn it back on and check whether it reaches a display.
    4. If comfortable opening the case, check for obvious hardware seating issues
      • Power the PC off fully before touching hardware.
      • Check that the RAM is fully seated.
      • Check that the graphics card is fully seated.
      • Check that internal display/power connections have not shifted in shipping.
      • If the PC has multiple RAM sticks, testing one stick at a time can help isolate a bad or loose module.
    5. Watch for signs this is still hardware-related
      • CPU/DRAM diagnostic lights staying on
      • No display on any monitor or cable
      • GPU lighting comes on but the system never completes startup

Because this is a new prebuilt PC, if the CPU and DRAM lights remain on after the basic cable and restart checks, the most likely next step is to use the seller’s warranty or return process rather than doing deeper repair work. Persistent CPU/DRAM fault lights on first boot usually indicate a component seating or hardware fault that should be handled as a defective or shipping-damaged system.

If the screen is only blank but the PC otherwise appears to boot, these Windows display shortcuts are worth trying:

    • Windows + Ctrl + Shift + B to reset the graphics driver
    • Windows + P to cycle display modes
