Make sure you cancel first. Please go to https://account.live.com

Sign into your Microsoft account. Then go to Services. Click on Manage for the subscription plan you want to cancel.

As for refund, this is a public forum, so for your privacy and security, we can’t help with billing issues here. Also, no one in this forum has access to your account or payment information.

To get help, open the "Get Help" app on your computer (just search for it in the Start menu). or go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus, Type "Billing" and press Enter. On the next screen, click "Contact support" at the bottom of the page, then choose "Microsoft 365" > "Manage my subscription". You’ll then see the option to chat with a Microsoft support agent who has access to your account to help review the issue.

If the charge is for a Microsoft 365 or other Microsoft-billed subscription, sign in to the Microsoft account used for the purchase, go to Services & subscriptions, select the subscription, then choose Manage > Cancel. During cancellation, Microsoft shows whether the subscription qualifies for a refund and guides the next steps.

    Key refund points:

    • Not every cancellation results in a refund.
    • In most cases, a refund may be available within 30 days of the initial purchase or before the first recurring billing date, whichever is sooner.
    • A refund of the most recent recurring billing charge may also be available if cancellation happens within 30 days after payment. This is limited to one time per Microsoft account, per subscription product.
    • If no refund is issued, access typically continues until the end of the current billing period.

If the PayPal charge cannot be matched to a subscription, check the billing/order history for the Microsoft account used for the purchase. If the issue still is not resolved, contact Microsoft Support through the support flow for billing and subscription help.

If the subscription was billed by Apple, Google Play, or another retailer instead of Microsoft, the refund must be requested from that provider.

Avoid using a chargeback with PayPal or the bank as the first step when this is a standard refund issue, because repeated misuse of chargebacks can be considered fraud.
