Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hi Phillip,
The reason you cannot see the option to cancel your Visio license is because Microsoft does not actually offer Visio as a "Personal" or "Home" subscription. Visio (such as Plan 1 and Plan 2) are strictly business/commercial licenses.
When you purchased the Visio subscription for your personal use, the Microsoft checkout system would have required you to create a "business" profile or tenant (usually generating an email ending in something like @yourname.onmicrosoft.com). Because it is categorized as a business product, it will never show up under the subscriptions and billing section of your standard personal Microsoft account (account.microsoft.com).
Here is how you can find and cancel it:
Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center at admin.microsoft.com.
Sign in using the specific "work or school" administrator email address you created when you first purchased the Visio subscription (do not use your regular personal Outlook/Gmail address).
On the left navigation menu, click on Billing and then select Your products.
Click on your Visio subscription.
Under the Billing settings section, select Cancel subscription.
(Note: If you actually bought a one-time purchase version like Visio Standard 2021 or Visio Professional 2021 instead of a monthly/yearly subscription, there is no recurring billing to cancel. You own that license permanently, and you can simply uninstall the software).
Let me know if you need help recovering that specific admin email address!
