Disappearing Outlook Email Folder Data

I use Outlook on the web on my Apple MacBook Pro. I create file folders and move emails into those folders. Within 24 hours or less, the emails that I moved into the folders are gone. The folders are still there, but all of them are empty.

I did not delete these emails myself. I have many folders and they have all become empty.

Can someone help explain why this is happening and how I can stop emails from disappearing after I move them into folders?

    Hi @CarlHanson-7067

I’m sorry to hear that the emails you moved into your folders are disappearing.

To help narrow down the cause, could you please confirm whether you are using a personal Outlook.com/Hotmail account or a work or school Microsoft 365 account?

Also, is this account connected to any other mail application or device, such as Apple Mail, Outlook for Mac, an iPhone, or an iPad?

This information will help determine whether the messages are being affected by another connected application, a mailbox rule, or an organization-managed retention policy.
