OneDrive Photos People facial recognition is enabled but not working. Thousands of photos have fully synced, but People still shows “No people found yet.”

    Hello Chost_09,

I understand that your photos have finished syncing, but the People section continues to show “No people found yet.”

Please first confirm that you are using a personal Microsoft account, since the OneDrive Photos experience currently supports personal accounts. Also, facial grouping runs only on photos stored in OneDrive, not photos that remain solely on the PC. Browse and manage your photos on Windows

If those conditions are met and the feature has remained enabled, this may be an issue with OneDrive’s cloud-based photo-processing service rather than the sync application. There is no user-facing control to force a new facial scan.

I do not recommend disabling and re-enabling facial grouping as a troubleshooting step, because Microsoft states that turning it off permanently removes the associated grouping data within 30 days. Group photos by people in OneDrive

Since this is a community forum and we cannot inspect or reprocess your account from here, please contact OneDrive Support so they can investigate the account’s server-side photo processing:

    1. Open a website link - Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the box below "We're here to help", type Microsoft 365, click "Get Help", and then click "Contact Support" below.
    3. In this section, you will need to sign in to your Microsoft account.
    4. Select "Microsoft 365 and Office" under Products & Services, select "Technical Support" as the category, and click to confirm
    5. You can select " Chat with a support agent in your web browser " to access the chat window.

When contacting them, mention that the photos are fully synced, facial grouping is enabled, and Photos** > **People still displays “No people found yet.”

I hope you can get the support you need, have a nice day.
