This is a community forum not support, contact Pearson Vue, the exam provider, https://www.pearsonvue.com/us/en/microsoft.html#customer-service, for issues when scheduling an exam

Contact Pearson VUE Support and ask them to investigate the Microsoft exam scheduling account/profile, because this persistent error occurs during the scheduling handoff and is not resolved by browser or device troubleshooting.^1^

    1. Open a Pearson VUE support case

    1. Open Credentials support and select Pearson VUE Support under For Exam appointment and scheduling issues.^1^
    2. Tell Pearson VUE:
      • The error appears when opening the scheduling page from the Microsoft Learn certification profile.
      • The exact message is: “We encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later. If this issue continues, please contact site support.”
      • It occurs across a laptop and mobile devices, including private/incognito browsing.
    3. Ask them specifically to:
      • Review the Pearson VUE candidate account/profile for a lock or block.
      • Check whether the Microsoft Learn profile is transferring correctly.
      • Remove any account restriction they find.
    4. Include the exam name, approximate time of the failure, your country/region, and a screenshot—but do not post private account details publicly.

A matching case was resolved after Pearson VUE found and unlocked the candidate’s account following a failed payment.^2^ That does not establish that your account is locked, but if you previously had an unsuccessful payment or incomplete booking, mention it in the case.

    2. Escalate to Microsoft Credentials Support if Pearson VUE finds no issue

Because your error occurs while opening/transferring to the scheduling page, submit a Microsoft Credentials Support request if Pearson VUE confirms that the candidate account is not blocked:

    1. Open Credentials support and select online support request.^1^
    2. Set:
      • Product family: Learning
      • Product or Service: Microsoft Credentials
      • Type of Support: Professional No Charge
      • Preferred contact method: Email
    3. Provide:
      • Your Learn username from Learn profile → Settings
      • Exam name
      • Exact error text
      • Screenshot
      • Date, time, and time zone of the latest attempt
      • Confirmation that Pearson VUE checked the account and what they reported

Microsoft’s documented registration flow transfers the information entered in Learn to Pearson VUE, where scheduling is completed.^3^ Since cache clearing, incognito mode, and multiple devices have already failed, repeating those steps is unlikely to add useful diagnostic information.
