Using the New Outlook for Mac features in business environments
Dear Shannon,
As a forum moderator, I genuinely wish I could directly access your account or delve into the backend systems to diagnose and fix this for you. Unfortunately, my role here is limited to providing general guidance and solutions that can be applied by users. The misplaced or missing signature and the reply starting on the same line as the original message may be related to the same Outlook for Mac compose-formatting issue. Similar reports increased after recent Outlook for Mac updates, particularly when replying or forwarding. Please follow these steps to see if it helps:
- Open Outlook > Settings > Composing.
- Enable When replying or forwarding, use the format of the original message.
- Completely quit Outlook using Command+Q.
- Reopen Outlook and test a reply.
If the signature is still missing or in the wrong place, try resetting it:
- Open Outlook > Settings > Signatures.
- Select the affected email account.
- Set For replies/forwards to None.
- Quit and reopen Outlook.
- Return to Signatures and assign the preferred signature again.
- Test using a new reply.
If that doesn't help, try recreating the signature. If it contains links or images, test a simple text-only version first, then add the links back once it works.
It's also worth testing a reply in Outlook on the web. If the signature and spacing look correct there, the problem is limited to Outlook on your Mac, and you can report it through Help > Feedback > Report a problem.
I hope this helps. Looking forward to your reply.
