Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Canceling the subscription does not automatically guarantee a refund. Refund eligibility is determined during the cancellation process.
What to check:
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account used to buy the subscription.
- Go to Services & subscriptions.
- Find the Microsoft 365 subscription and check its status.
- If the cancellation qualified, Microsoft indicates that during cancellation and guides the next steps.
Key policy details:
- In most cases, a refund may be available if the subscription is canceled within 30 days of the initial purchase or before the first recurring billing date, whichever comes first.
- A refund of the most recent recurring billing charge may also be available if cancellation happens within 30 days after payment, limited to one time per Microsoft account, per subscription product.
- If no refund is issued, access to Microsoft 365 typically continues until the end of the current billing period.
If the subscription was bought through Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon, or another third-party retailer, the refund must be requested from that seller, not Microsoft.
If the refund status is still unclear after checking the subscription page, use Contact Support from Microsoft Support.
