    Hi Caroline,

Log into your Microsoft account on this link:

    https://account.microsoft.com/services/

Click the Manage button beside the Microsoft 365 subscription.

In there, you can cancel the subscription, and also ensure you disable the 'Recurring Billing' on the subscription to ensure no further payments are taken for the subscription when the free trial ends.

To cancel a Microsoft 365 free trial before being charged:

    1. Sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/services with the Microsoft account associated with the trial.
    2. Find the Microsoft 365 subscription.
    3. Check what appears under the subscription:
      • If Cancel appears, select Cancel to cancel the trial.
      • If Turn on recurring billing appears, recurring billing is already off. The trial will end on the Expires on date, and no future charges will be made.
      • If Paid with shows None, the trial will end on the Expires on date, and no cancellation is needed.

If this is a Microsoft 365 for business trial, cancel it by turning off recurring billing in the Microsoft 365 admin center. If the trial has no payment method associated with it, it can simply be allowed to expire and there will be no charge.

After the trial ends, Office can still be used for a short time, then it goes into View Only mode. Documents can still be opened and printed, but not edited or created.

If cancellation cannot be completed, use Contact Microsoft Support.
