Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue with Outlook Web (outlook.com) on my account [******@hotmail.com].

Problem description:

  • Image previews in emails and attachment previews fail to load on all emails, not just specific senders.
  • Downloading attachments fails — both single file download and "Download all" — with the error: "The request could not be completed. Try again in a little while."
  • The error occurs even on a plain image attachment (e.g., PNG files).
  • "Save to OneDrive" works normally — I can save the attachment to OneDrive and download it from there without issues. This suggests the attachment files themselves are intact.

Environment & tests already performed:

  • Browsers tested: Google Chrome [Version 154.0.8037.99], Chrome Incognito (no extensions) — same result on all.
  • Sign out / sign in and browser restart: done, no change.
  • Network tested on Wi-Fi home.
  • Other accounts tested on the same browser: also cant load.
  • Antivirus: -.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open any email with an attachment in Outlook Web.
  2. Click the attachment preview or the Download button.
  3. Error message appears: "The request could not be completed. Try again in a little while."

Expected behavior: Attachment preview and download should work directly from Outlook Web.

Workaround currently used: Saving attachments to OneDrive first, then downloading from OneDrive. This works, but is impractical for daily use.

Microsoft Service Health shows all services operational, and I found similar reports from other users (September–October 2026) where the issue appeared account-specific and persisted across browsers/devices. Could you please investigate whether this is a service-side issue affecting attachment processing for my account?

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards, [Bangkit Isnu Sirojjudin] [******@hotmail.com] [Versi OS, mis. Windows 10]

    Hi,

I see that you haven't tested any other browser except Chrome. To isolate it further, can you try using Edge or Safari based on your Operating System and let me know if the issue exists with that as well?

Firefox is even better to test.

I am eager to hear back from you to find a solution.
