    Welcome Neal Shulman,

I understand the junk messages are being correctly moved to “Junk Email”, but they are also arriving with a red flag, which causes them to appear in your Flagged messages.

Could you confirm whether the red flag is already present as soon as the junk message arrives, before you open or interact with it?

In the meantime, please check whether an Outlook.com rule might be applying the flag:

    • OpenOutlook.com and select Settings > Mail > Rules
    • Review your existing rules for anything that flags or marks messages for follow-up.
    • Temporarily disable any rule that could apply to these messages.
    • Wait for another junk message and check whether it still arrives with the red flag.
    • Test Outlook.com in a private browser window. Open an InPrivate/Incognito window in your browser, sign in directly to Outlook.com, and wait for a new junk message.

Please let me know whether this happens with all junk messages or only messages from particular senders.

    Looking forward to your update.
