I've been hacked!

Hello. I've been hacked; my Microsoft account has been compromised, it's details (both password and email + recovery) changed. I have ample evidence this has occurred, from screenshots to Windows Credentials from Credential Manager to even a receipt of a purchase with my previous account information.

How do I get access to my account? I only have proof thru images- the attacker has otherwise changed everything about my account (even my Xbox gamertag) so nothing can go through https://account.live.com/acsr. It has auto-rejected me twice since, for some outrageous reason, Account Recovery hasn't deemed anything as valid enough, and I've been auto-rejected twice today.

For the love of god, help.

    Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft Outlook Community

Good afternoon, @E Hernandez . I understand the difficulty in regaining access to your account. As the verification of ownership is performed by Microsoft systems, we are unable to recover or change the account directly through the Community.

If you were unable to complete the recovery normally, I recommend using the Microsoft Sign-in Helper first. If necessary, it can direct you to the recovery form:

    https://aka.ms/sign-in-helper

When filling out the form, provide as much account-related information as possible. Microsoft advises that the analysis and result are sent to the email address provided in the form, typically within 24 hours.

If the account is blocked or suspended, the procedure is different and the specific reactivation form indicated by Microsoft must be used.

     Account Reinstatement Form

To access dedicated support and speak with an agent:

Go to this link Contact – Microsoft Support

Briefly describe your problem in the search box

Scroll to the bottom of the page -> select Sign in to contact support

Sign in to another available personal Microsoft account.

Under Products and Services, select "Other Products"; under Categories, select "Manage account security" and click Confirm.

Click "Chat with a support agent in your browser" (Business hours only)

I hope these guidelines help guide your application. If possible, come back to report the result. Your feedback can also help other community members who are going through a similar situation.

If the account email, password, and recovery methods were changed, the supported recovery path is the Microsoft account recovery and reinstatement process.

    1. First, secure the PC before attempting recovery again.
      • Open Windows Security.
      • Go to Virus & threat protection.
      • Select Scan options > Full scan > Scan now.
      • Microsoft recommends a full malware scan before changing passwords or continuing account recovery.
    2. Try the Microsoft sign-in helper.
      • If sign-in is blocked or the account appears locked, use the Microsoft account sign-in helper.
      • It can guide to the correct self-help flow or offer the chance to talk to an agent.
    3. If the account is locked and the Let’s prove you’re human option does not appear, use the reinstatement link shown in the sign-in window.
      • For accounts locked due to suspicious activity or Terms of Use enforcement, the sign-in page provides a link that begins with aka.ms/.
      • Submit that form once and wait for review by Microsoft Online Safety support.
      • Do not submit repeated requests, because Microsoft states that additional submissions can slow the response.
    4. If the account is compromised, continue using the account recovery form with the strongest ownership details available.
      • Microsoft’s recovery guidance and accepted support guidance indicate this remains the primary path for personal Microsoft accounts.
      • Use a working alternate contact email in the form.
      • Include as much identifying information as possible, such as old passwords and service-specific details tied to the account.
      • If the account was used with Xbox or OneDrive, include unique details related to those services when completing recovery.
    5. If recovery continues to fail, contact Microsoft Support from another Microsoft account.
      • Go to Contact Microsoft Support, enter the problem, select Get Help, then Contact Support.
      • Microsoft support can route to the best support option, but support agents are not allowed to send password reset links or directly change account details unless the proper recovery or reinstatement process is completed.
    6. If access is restored, immediately secure the account.
      • Change the password.
      • Review connected accounts, forwarding, and automatic replies.
      • Check the Recent activity page for sign-ins from the last 30 days.
      • Update security info on the Security basics page.

    Important limits from Microsoft support:

    • Support agents cannot directly reset the password or change account details outside the official recovery/reinstatement process.
    • If a reinstatement form was submitted, wait for the email response instead of sending more requests.
