Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
To check refund eligibility for a Microsoft 365 Family subscription purchased directly from Microsoft, the required path is to cancel the subscription from the Microsoft account used for the purchase. Refund eligibility is then shown automatically during cancellation.
In this case, if the subscription page only shows Resubscribe and not Manage or Cancel, that indicates the subscription is already expired and is not set to renew. The documented guidance says that when recurring billing is already off, there is nothing further to cancel.
Refund policy facts that apply:
- Not all cancellations result in a refund.
- In most cases, a refund may be available within 30 days of the initial purchase or before the first recurring billing date, whichever is sooner, by canceling the subscription.
- For Microsoft 365 Basic, Personal, Family, and similar subscriptions, prorated refunds are not available in most countries/regions. The listed prorated-refund countries do not include Vietnam.
What to do next:
- Sign in to Services & subscriptions with the same Microsoft account used to buy the subscription.
- Confirm whether the subscription shows Resubscribe only. If so, it is already expired and there is no further cancellation step available.
- Use Microsoft Support to have the charge and refund eligibility reviewed:
- Go to Contact Microsoft Support
- Enter the billing problem and select Get Help
- If needed, select Contact Support for the best support option
- If the charge is unrecognized, it can also be investigated on the Manage your payments page.
