Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Use these steps to reach a billing support person and check the charge first:
- Go to Services & subscriptions and sign in with any Microsoft accounts that might have been used for the subscription: https://account.microsoft.com/services Check whether recurring billing is enabled or whether the subscription is still active.
- If the charge is unfamiliar, go to Manage your payments and use Investigate: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2246882 This is the Microsoft account dashboard location for reviewing unexpected Microsoft charges.
- If the subscription was already cancelled but billing continued, check whether the cancellation happened too close to the billing date. Cancellations must be made more than 2 days before the billing date.
- To speak with support, go to Contact Microsoft Support, enter the billing problem, then select Get Help and Contact Support to be routed to the best support option: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2258619
- If the charge still cannot be identified, use the contact flow commonly recommended for Microsoft 365 billing issues:
- Open Microsoft support contact
- Enter billing
- Choose Microsoft 365 and Office
- Choose Manage my subscription
- Select Chat with support agent in web browser
- If fraud is suspected, contact the bank or payment provider immediately to prevent more charges.
