Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
English-only support.
For a double charge like this, the supported path is:
- Go to Manage your payments in the Microsoft account dashboard and use Investigate for the unrecognized charge.
- Also review Services & subscriptions and the billing history for every Microsoft account that may have been used, because a second charge can be tied to a different account or a recurring subscription.
- If the extra charge is identified as a Microsoft subscription, cancel it through Services & subscriptions. During cancellation, Microsoft indicates automatically whether the subscription qualifies for a refund.
- If the second €99 charge still does not appear in the account, contact Microsoft Support through Contact Support and choose the billing/subscription path so an agent can review the transaction.
- If the charge cannot be found in any Microsoft account and is believed to be unauthorized, contact the bank or payment provider immediately to stop further charges. Reporting the card as compromised helps prevent additional fraudulent charges.
Supported facts relevant to this case:
- Unexpected Microsoft charges can be investigated from Manage your payments.
- Common causes include recurring billing, a purchase by a family member, a previously declined charge being retried, a preorder or split order, or an in-app purchase.
- Not all cancellations result in a refund.
- Refund eligibility is determined automatically during the cancellation flow.
