Log into your Microsoft account on this link.

    https://account.microsoft.com/services/

Click the Manage button on the Microsoft 365 subscription

In there, you can cancel the subscription and also disable the recurring billing on the subscription.

You should then be entitled to a pro-rata refund, you can check your eligibility to a refund using the steps on this link.

If you pay for the subscription through the Apple App Store, you will need to contact Apple support to arrange the refund.

To check whether a full refund is available, cancel the subscription first. Refund eligibility is determined automatically during cancellation, and not all cancellations result in a refund.

For a Microsoft 365 Basic, Personal, Family, or Premium subscription purchased directly from Microsoft:

    1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 and sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used to buy the subscription.
    2. Find the subscription and select Manage.
    3. Select Cancel or Upgrade or Cancel.
    4. Follow the prompts on the cancellation pages. During that process, Microsoft indicates whether the subscription qualifies for a refund and guides the next steps.

    Relevant refund timing:

    • In most cases, a refund may be available within 30 days of the initial purchase or before the first recurring billing date, whichever is sooner, if the subscription is canceled through the refund flow.
    • A refund of the most recent recurring billing charge may also be available if cancellation happens within 30 days after payment. This right is limited to one time per Microsoft account, per subscription product.
    • If no refund is issued, access to Microsoft 365 typically continues until the end of the current billing period.

    Important exceptions:

    • If the subscription was purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store, cancellation and refund must be requested through that store’s support.
    • If Turn on recurring billing appears instead of Manage or Cancel, the subscription is already set to expire and no further cancellation action is needed.

If the cancellation flow does not offer a refund option, use Contact Support at https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2258619, enter the problem, select Get Help, and then Contact Support.
