    Hi,

If you have two Microsoft 365 accounts, first identify which account has the subscription you want to keep. Then sign in to the account you want to cancel and go to: https://account.microsoft.com/services

Select the Microsoft 365 subscription and choose Manage > Cancel subscription.

Cancelling the subscription will stop future billing, but it does not normally delete the Microsoft account itself. You can continue using the account after the subscription ends, although Microsoft 365 premium features and storage benefits will be removed.

If you have saved more files in OneDrive than the free storage limit allows, make sure to move or download your files before the subscription expires. Otherwise, you may no longer be able to upload or edit files until you reduce your storage usage.

For a home Microsoft 365 subscription, first identify which account has the subscription to keep, then cancel the other one.

    1. Sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 with the Microsoft account used to buy the subscription.
    2. Select Cancel subscription. If it shows Upgrade or Cancel, select that.
    3. Review the page, then choose I don't want my subscription to confirm.
    4. Repeat only for the account that should be canceled.

    Impact of canceling:

    • If Cancel subscription is not shown and Turn on recurring billing appears instead, that subscription is already set to expire and no further action is required. It remains usable until the expiration date.
    • The canceled subscription continues until its effective end date unless it is already in a cancellation window that ends it sooner.
    • If files are stored in OneDrive on the account being canceled, save or download them first to avoid losing access to that account’s storage benefits.
    • Personal Microsoft accounts and Microsoft 365 work or school accounts cannot be merged.
    • If the subscription was bought through Google Play, Apple App Store, or a third-party retailer, cancellation must be handled with that seller instead of Microsoft.

If the goal is to stop paying for one account but keep the other, cancel only the subscription on the account not being used, and check OneDrive on that account before canceling.
