Billing of a closed account

Several months ago, I closed my MS 365 Business Standard account ([Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed]@csisconsultants.com). The domain name was transferred to a new hosting service and method of payment removed. This was done prior to the expiration of the 2026 subscription. I am being billed for a new subscription term on an account for which I no longer have access. I am requesting a refund for the recent payments on the closed account.

Thank you.

    Hi Pitmon,

This issue involves a request for a refund and investigation of subscription charges associated with a Microsoft 365 Business account that you no longer have access to. Unfortunately, members and moderators of this community do not have access to billing systems, subscription records, payment information, or account ownership data, so we are unable to investigate charges, process refunds, or make changes to billing agreements.

For this reason, you will need to contact the Microsoft Billing Support team directly. They are the only team with the tools necessary to review the account's billing history, verify the subscription status, and determine whether a refund can be issued.

Contact Microsoft customer support (work account tab).

As a precaution, while working to contact Microsoft Billing Support, you may wish to review the payment method associated with the subscription. If you are unable to obtain assistance through Microsoft's billing channels and charges continue to occur, you can contact your bank, credit card issuer, or payment provider to discuss the available options regarding recurring transactions.

I hope this guidance helps clarify the available options. Wishing you a smooth resolution and all the best moving forward.
