Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
To cancel a Microsoft subscription immediately for a personal Microsoft account:
- Go to Subscriptions or https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365.
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used to buy the subscription.
- Find the subscription and select Manage.
- Select Cancel or Cancel subscription. It might also appear as Upgrade or Cancel.
- Follow the prompts to confirm the cancellation.
Important checks if cancellation is not shown:
- If Turn on recurring billing appears instead, the subscription is already set to expire on the shown date and no further charges will occur.
- If the subscription was bought through Google Play, the Apple App Store, or a third-party retailer such as Amazon, cancellation must be handled through that seller.
- If there is an overdue balance, that amount must be paid before cancellation is available.
If the goal is also to check refund eligibility for Microsoft 365 Basic, Personal, Family, or Premium purchased from Microsoft, cancel the subscription first. In some countries, a prorated refund may be available.
