    Hi Thom,

To further check on this, can you please share any error message you encountered when you try to add a family member? I would appreciate if you could also share a screenshot that would help with further investigation.

In the meantime, you may also check this link for a more information in sharing and adding a family member to a subscription: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/subscriptions/share-your-microsoft-365-subscription

If the Microsoft 365 Family upgrade was purchased through the Apple App Store, the subscription is managed by Apple. In that case, the Family plan may not appear correctly in the Microsoft account used for sharing, which can prevent adding family members.

To add family members when sharing is available:

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft account that has the Microsoft 365 Family subscription at https://account.microsoft.com/services/office/sharing.
    2. On the Sharing tab, select Start sharing.
    3. Invite a person by email, or copy a sharing link and send it.
    4. The invited person must accept the invitation and join the Microsoft family group.

If adding family members is failing, check these conditions:

    1. The account must be the active subscription holder of Microsoft 365 Family.
    2. There must be shares remaining. Microsoft 365 Family can be shared with up to five other people.
    3. The invited person must accept the invitation and join the family group before sharing is completed.
    4. If the invited person is already in another Microsoft family group, they must leave that group first.
    5. If the invitation email was not received, verify the email address used and check the junk mail folder.
    6. If email invites are not arriving, use the Invite via link or Copy link option instead.

For a subscription bought through Apple, if the Family entitlement is not showing correctly in the Microsoft account, contact Apple Support because app store subscriptions are managed by Apple rather than Microsoft.
