    Hi, @Valerie Packer

To fix this, please try signing out of all Office apps on your Mac, then sign back in using the same Microsoft account that’s linked to your subscription.

If the message still appears, I suggest uninstalling Office completely, then reinstalling it from your Microsoft account services page to make sure it’s properly linked:

    Then, to reinstall Microsoft Office:

    • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services
    • Sign in using the same Microsoft account linked to your subscription.
    • Find your Microsoft 365 subscription and click the "Install".
    • That will download the installer for the Office apps, just run it and follow the steps.

If anything’s unclear or the "Install" option still doesn’t show, feel free to let me know. I’ll be happy to walk you through it!

I really hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Thanks!

This usually means the subscription was purchased successfully, but it is not linked to the Microsoft account currently signed in to Office.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Check the Microsoft account used for the purchase
      • Sign out of the Office app.
      • Sign back in with the Microsoft account used when the subscription was purchased.
      • If the subscription was bought through the Mac App Store, it is associated with the Microsoft account that was signed in to the Office app at the time of purchase.
    2. Verify the subscription is active
      • Check whether the subscription is active in the Apple subscriptions page.
      • If it is active, use Restore previous purchase in Office for Mac.
    3. Check whether the subscription appears on the Microsoft account
      • Go to Services & subscriptions and sign in with the purchase account.
      • If the subscription appears there, use that same account in Office.
    4. If the purchase is linked to a different Microsoft account
      • Error code 1303 means the App Store purchase is already associated with another Microsoft account.
      • Sign out, then sign in with the Microsoft account believed to have been used at purchase, and try Restore previous purchase again.
    5. If Office still cannot find the purchase
      • Error code 1007 means Office could not find a purchase associated with the Apple ID.
      • Reconfirm the subscription is active in Apple subscriptions, then try Restore previous purchase again.
    6. If the issue continues
      • Contact Microsoft Support.
      • If someone else originally installed or associated the product with their account instead of the purchaser’s account, support can help. Have proof of purchase available.

If the subscription was not purchased through Apple, sign in at microsoft365.com with the account associated with the subscription and check whether an install option is available there.
