    Hello,

Has it been 48 hours yet since you purchased the subscription? If not, it can take up to 48 hours for the changes to be reflected in your account?

If it has been more than 48 hours, you would need to contact Microsoft billing support.

To get help, open the "Get Help" app on your computer (just search for it in the Start menu). or go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus, Type "Billing" and press Enter. On the next screen, click "Contact support" at the bottom of the page, then choose "Microsoft 365" > "Manage my subscription". You’ll then see the option to chat with a Microsoft support agent who has access to your account to help review the issue.

For a Microsoft 365 Family subscription, each shared person gets 1 TB of storage, but the account can still show 5 GB if the Family invitation has not fully applied yet or the storage update has not finished syncing.

    Try this in order:

    1. Confirm the correct account is being used
      • Go to the Microsoft account services page and verify the Microsoft 365 Family subscription is active.
      • If this is a shared family member account, make sure that account accepted the Family invitation.
    2. Wait for the storage update to apply
      • After accepting the invitation, storage changes can take about 2 hours to appear.
      • In some cases, storage changes can take up to 24 hours to show.
    3. Refresh the storage page
      • Open Manage storage in OneDrive.
      • Refresh the page and check whether the quota changes from 5 GB to 1 TB.
    4. Check the account dashboard storage view
      • Open the Microsoft account dashboard and select Microsoft storage.
      • This shows the current quota and usage for the signed-in account.
    5. If the storage still does not update after 24 hours
      • Unlink and relink OneDrive.
      • Microsoft also recommends refreshing the Manage storage page first, then trying unlink/relink if the purchased storage still is not visible after 24 hours.
    6. If this is the Family organizer account
      • Only the subscription account holder can extend storage beyond the included amount.
      • If the issue is with a shared family member, each person still has their own separate 1 TB quota after sharing is applied.
    7. If it has already been 48 hours and it still shows 5 GB
      • Contact Microsoft support and choose Billing → Contact support → Microsoft 365 → Manage my subscription to have the OneDrive provision checked.

    Also note:

    • Microsoft 365 Family includes 1 TB per person for up to 6 people.
    • If the subscription expired or renewal failed, the quota can drop back and show a lower limit.
