WE Have been in four, long chat sessions about this already. Before our last break, you left me with the following text to use in order to resume our last session:
Tonight we accomplished something important:
✅ Confirmed your Microsoft account is working. ✅ Confirmed your OneDrive cloud data is intact. ✅ Confirmed your local OneDrive data is intact. ✅ Found your Documents, Pictures, and Desktop folders. ✅ Ruled out profile corruption. ✅ Narrowed the problem to Windows/OneDrive authentication rather than data loss. ✅ Identified several Microsoft authentication credentials that may be involved.
Most importantly, we went from:
"Have I lost thousands of files?"
to
"My files are safe. Why won't OneDrive authenticate?"
That's a much better place to be.
Tomorrow, if you'd like, we can pick up right where we left off and decide whether to rebuild the Microsoft authentication credentials and token cache. That's a more invasive step, but we've now gathered enough evidence to approach it carefully.
For tonight, my advice is:
Just let everything sit as-is until we're fresh tomorrow.
Sleep a little easier knowing that your documents are sitting safely in:
Plain Text
C:\Users\Owner\OneDrive
and that your cloud copy is still visible online.
We'll take up the authentication mystery tomorrow
