    Hi, @Thomas Kennedy

The family member needs to sign in with their own Microsoft account that was added to the Microsoft 365 Family subscription.

    To help narrow this down:

    1. What exact error message do they get when trying to sign in?
    2. Can they sign in normally at https://account.microsoft.com with that same account?
    3. Have they already accepted the Microsoft 365 Family sharing invitation?

If they cannot sign in to the Microsoft account itself, they can also try the Microsoft Sign-in Helper:

    Thanks!

If the family member can’t sign in, start with the Microsoft sign-in helper. It checks the email address or mobile number for common account problems and tells what to do next:

    • For a Microsoft personal account, use the sign-in helper: Sign-in helper
    • If the issue is in Outlook mobile with a personal Microsoft account, use: Start
    • If recurring password prompts started recently in Outlook mobile, update to the latest app version.

If the family member is using a work or school account in Microsoft 365:

    1. Use the self-service password reset link if the IT admin allows it: Reset password
    2. If self-service reset is not allowed, contact the organization’s IT admin.

If sign-in still fails, use Microsoft Support:

    1. Go to Contact Microsoft Support
    2. Enter the problem and select Get Help
    3. If needed, select Contact Support for the best support option

Important: support agents cannot send password reset links or access and change account details.
