I changed computers and need to transfer/activate on new computer. Not sure what the next step is.

Good day vito volterra,

To activate Microsoft 365, open an Office application such as Word or Excel and select Sign in when prompted. Sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used to purchase the subscription or receive the license.

You can also sign in to the Services & subscriptions page to confirm that Microsoft 365 is listed as active under your account.

If you purchased a new and unused product key, redeem it first on the Microsoft 365 setup page. After redeeming it, open an Office application and sign in with the same account to complete activation.

Please let me know how it goes after trying these steps, and I’ll be glad to continue looking into it with you.

For issues with file management on your Mac, you may want to check with Apple discussions and/or Apple support.

Thank you NoraH but my question was dealing with the screen of my Apple iMak freesing so that I cannot move anything on the desktop.

Thank you for clarifying.

Please let me know whether the entire iMac is frozen or whether this happens only when using Microsoft Office apps.

Please press Option + Command + Esc. If the Force Quit window opens, select Finder, then choose Relaunch. This restarts the part of macOS that manages the desktop and files.

If the entire iMac remains unresponsive, please contact Apple Support, as this is a macOS system issue rather than a Microsoft 365 activation issue.
