Certification under different account

Hi! I have a certificate for Microsoft Associate, but I believe it was under my school email, as I completed it at Keller High School. I was just wondering if I need to contact my school or if you would be able to find it and merge it with this new account.

A school or work account cannot be merged with a personal Microsoft account directly. Personal Microsoft accounts and Microsoft 365 work or school accounts can only be used side by side.

For Microsoft Learn profiles, a profile merge is possible only if just one of the profiles contains a personal Microsoft login account. If the certification is on a different Learn profile, sign in to the profile to keep, go to Settings → Login account management → Add login account, and add the other login account. If that login account is already tied to another Learn profile, it triggers a profile merge. This combines learning progress, credentials, and transcripts. The merge cannot be undone.

If the certification was earned under a school/work account and the goal is to move it to a different personal profile, a documented community-supported path is to use the school/work Learn profile as a bridge:

    1. Sign in to the school/work Learn profile.
    2. Add the personal profile that contains the certification data to trigger migration.
    3. After the merge completes, remove that linked personal profile if needed.
    4. Sign in to the preferred Learn profile and add the school/work profile to transfer the certification and training progress.

If access to the school email account has been lost, contact Microsoft Credentials Support for help with missing credentials or profile issues. Also try signing in with any other login accounts that may have been used when registering for the exam, because certifications often appear under a different Learn profile than expected.
