If your Surface Laptop 7 is still under warranty, I would suggest contacting Microsoft directly and opening a warranty service request rather than relying only on the authorized service provider.

Since the service provider has already diagnosed the problem as a motherboard failure and has requested the replacement motherboard from Microsoft, make sure you mention this clearly in the Microsoft support case. Also mention that your warranty is expiring soon and that the service provider has told you Microsoft has not supplied the required part.

Go to your Microsoft account and check Devices → Surface Laptop 7 → Get service/Start order. If you can create the service order, do it before the warranty expires. Keep the service provider's job sheet/diagnosis and any communication showing that the motherboard was requested.

I would also keep the service provider's job number and the date you originally submitted the laptop. Those details may be important if Microsoft needs to verify that the problem was reported while the device was still under warranty.

For a personal Surface Laptop 7, the supported paths are:

    1. Check warranty status immediately at https://account.microsoft.com/devices.
      • If the device is not listed, use Register device first.
      • This shows the coverage dates and lets the repair process start before the warranty expires.
    2. Create a repair/service request with Microsoft.
      • For personal devices, Microsoft supports Send to Microsoft service, which requires creating a service order and printing a shipping label.
    3. Use in-person support if available in the region.
      • Microsoft also lists Authorized Service Providers for in-person support and repair in some countries or regions.
    4. If the device still will not charge or power on, use the Surface support entry points.
      • Open the Surface app, describe the problem, and select Get Help.
      • If the device cannot be used, open Get Help online for other support options.
    5. If this is a work or school-owned device, contact the organization’s IT helpdesk or admin instead of using the personal-device flow.

For a business-owned Surface, an IT admin can submit a support request in the Microsoft 365 admin center:

    • Go to Support → Microsoft Surface support.
    • Select Create support request.
    • Review suggested troubleshooting.
    • If needed, select Contact support.
    • Choose phone or email as the preferred contact method.

Because the device already failed charging and power-on checks and an authorized provider could not complete the repair, the practical next step is to start the Microsoft service request now so the case is opened before warranty expiry.
