    Dear MD ABDULLAH AHMED POLASH,

I understand how concerning it is to lose access to university files after an email-domain migration. In most cases, the files are still in the university’s Microsoft 365 tenant, but the account identity, license, or OneDrive URL needs to be reconnected by the university IT Admin. Kindly try these steps:

1> Sign in using the new university account

Open a private or Incognito browser window.

Go to the Microsoft 365 portal (office.com).

Sign in using the new university email address.

Open Apps and more > OneDrive rather than using an old bookmark.

When a university changes your sign-in name, also called the User Principal Name or UPN, the OneDrive URL changes. Old bookmarks and previously shared links may therefore stop working. The migration can also take several hours to propagate. How UPN changes affect OneDrive - SharePoint in Microsoft 365 | Microsoft Learn

2> Check whether this is the same account or a newly created account

If OneDrive opens but shows an empty library, or you receive Access denied, 404, or You don’t have permission, the university may have created a new account instead of renaming the original account.

    That distinction is important:

    • Original account renamed: The existing files should normally remain associated with the account, but the OneDrive URL changes.
    • New account created: The new account has a different internal identity and may not automatically receive access to the old OneDrive, even if the username looks similar.

In this case, I recommend you contacting your IT Admin to verify:

The old account was renamed, not deleted and recreated.

Your new account has a valid OneDrive or Microsoft 365 Education license.

The old OneDrive site still exists.

The new account is connected to the same Microsoft Entra user object.

The OneDrive URL has been updated following the UPN/domain change.

I hope the information shared helps point you in the right direction.
