A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
For OneDrive personal accounts, files deleted from the Recycle Bin cannot be recovered by built-in OneDrive restore methods.
Supported recovery options are:
- Check that the correct Microsoft account is signed in, because files may be in another OneDrive.
- If the files were synced to a PC or mobile device, check the device’s local Recycle Bin or OneDrive folder.
- If Microsoft 365 is available on the account, try Restore your OneDrive to roll back the entire OneDrive to a point within the last 30 days. In OneDrive on the web, go to Settings > Restore your OneDrive. This option is not available without a Microsoft 365 subscription.
For a 50 GB OneDrive storage subscription, the context does not provide any supported Microsoft server-side recovery process after files have been permanently deleted from the OneDrive Recycle Bin. One source explicitly states that once files are removed from the Recycle Bin, OneDrive does not offer a built-in way to recover them directly.
