Refund or Return of sent Surface Pro

I ordered a Surface Pro on Dec 5, of last year. I had a problem with the unit, and had two Microsoft Technicians log into the computer in March of this year to fix the issue. They could not, so they gave me a return RMA and shipping label to return for a refund. The unit was shipped to your center instead of the customer service location. It was then sent back to me. I received another shipping label and sent the unit back again in June of this year.

I received another request from Customer Service for the original PO. And I sent it in late June of this year.

The tracking info showed the unit was received at your [moderator's note: PII removed] facility in July and signed for.

The order number is Order #[moderator's note: PII removed].

If you have the unit, please send it back to me!

Thank you,

    Hello Thomas Simmons,

Thank you for explaining the full return history. Having to ship the Surface twice and still being left without either the device or the refund is understandably concerning, especially when the carrier tracking shows that the second shipment was delivered and signed for.

At this point, further device troubleshooting would not help. The return needs to be traced through the RMA, order, and warehouse records, which cannot be accessed through this public user-to-user forum.

Please contact Microsoft Support and sign in with the Microsoft account used for the purchase. Provide the support agent with:

    • The RMA or service request number
    • The carrier tracking number and proof of delivery
    • The original proof of purchase
    • Copies of the previous emails or support case numbers

Clearly ask the agent to trace the device received at the return facility and confirm whether Microsoft will complete the refund or return the Surface to you. If the Support Assistant appears, enter “Talk to a live agent” and select the contact option offered for Microsoft Store, orders, or refunds.

You can also review the order status through your Microsoft account Order history. Thank you so much for your understanding.
