Microsoft Copilot Responses Frequently Get Stuck in Loading State Requiring Manual Refresh

I am experiencing a persistent issue with Microsoft Copilot where responses frequently become stuck in a greyed-out loading state and never fully render. The issue occurs across both the Copilot web interface and the desktop application.

When submitting prompts, Copilot begins generating a response, but the content remains in a placeholder/loading state indefinitely. The only workaround is to manually refresh the browser page or restart the Copilot application, after which the response usually loads correctly.

Impact:

  • Frequent interruption of workflow and productivity.
  • Responses cannot be viewed without manually refreshing.
  • Occurs multiple times throughout the day.
  • Affects both web and desktop app experiences, suggesting the issue is not browser-specific.

Observed Behaviour:

  • Response area shows loading placeholders (grey bars/skeleton view).
  • Response generation does not complete.
  • No clear error message is displayed.
  • Manual page refresh is required to recover.Impact:

This should be resolved as of this past weekend.
