My Day - How to remove

I use Outlook for Mac. My Day is taking up valuable space on my screen and I want to get rid of it. I want my Claude.ai to remain in view, so simply toggling the Task Pane off is not the answer. This is a show stopper for me; if I can't get rid of it, I'll swap out Outlook for another email client. I can't have software determining what is on my screen.

Any thoughts on how to remove this eyesore?!

Outlook developers: please get the message... some of us don't care at all about the Task Pane. We paid for our screen's real estate and want to manage how we use it. Please add a setting to Outlook for Mac app where Task Pane and all its useless children ("My day") can be completely disabled for good. Thanks!

First, I’d like to clarify that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators are not Microsoft Support, and we don’t have backend access or the ability to directly intervene in Microsoft products. We can only provide technical guidance and share best-practice recommendations based on known behavior.

In Outlook for Mac, My Day is part of the Task Pane and cannot be removed independently, as AI also mentioned. The only available option is to toggle the entire Task Pane, which will also hide any add-ins using that space.

You may want to consider upvoting those items to help increase visibility with the product team.

Another option, if you're using a work account, is to create a support ticket through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. This allows your organization to request clarification or raise the limitation directly with Microsoft support. My Day in the new Outlook for Mac is part of the Task Pane. It cannot be removed independently; it can only be shown or hidden together with the Task Pane.

To hide My Day (and the entire Task Pane):

In Outlook for Mac, select View on the menu bar.
Select Task Pane to toggle it off.

Alternatively, use the Show Task Pane button in the Outlook window to show or hide the pane.

There is no supported way in Outlook for Mac to keep the Task Pane visible for another add-in (such as Claude.ai) while removing or disabling only the My Day view. The pane is a single surface that My Day uses, and Outlook does not expose a setting to remove My Day while leaving the pane itself.
