I noticed that the authentic app was not in my phone and somehow deleted, this happened before too. I downloaded it again and logged in with my Microsoft account, last time it went smooth and all the codes were back for each account of mine, but this time it was all wiped and there were no codes. Meaning in the future I have no way of accessing my account using the authentication app. I need assistance to get my backup back.

    Hi @MUHAMMAD UMER

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with losing your backup data on the Microsoft Authenticator app.Unfortunately, Microsoft does not store this recovery information on support systems to ensure security. In the event that your backup cannot be restored, you can try the following alternative options to regain access to your account:

    • Use an alternative verification method: Select "Sign in another way" on the sign-in screen to receive a code via SMS or a backup email previously saved on your account.
    • For work or school account (@domain.com or @onmicrosoft.com) Please contact your organization's IT administrator and ask them to reset your authentication method so that you can register Microsoft Authenticator again. The administrator can follow Microsoft's documentation here: Manage authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication - Microsoft Entra ID |…  If you're unsure who your IT administrator is, please refer to How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support
    • For personal Microsoft account (@outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com), you can try one of the following options:  -Use the Microsoft Account Recovery Form: Help with the Microsoft account recovery form | Microsoft Support  -Alternatively, contact Microsoft Support: Go to Contact - Microsoft Support >Type "Support" and click Get Help > Click Sign in to contact support at the bottom of the page > Choose Contact support tab > Under Products & Services, select Microsoft 365 and Office > under Category, select Technical Support > Confirm > Choose Chat with a support agent in your browser.

I am only another community user and cannot access your account or tenant from here. I hope this helps.
