I have changed my email address in my Microsoft account. It went well.

My One Drive still sends pictures to my old email address.

How do I make One Drive send to my new email address?

    Hi, @Phil Peterson

This forum is public, no one from here has access to your Microsoft account.

    To help narrow this down:

    1. Are you referring to OneDrive sending photo memory notifications (such as “On this day”) to your old email address?
    2. Did you make your new email address the primary alias of your Microsoft account?

In the meantime, check your primary alias here: https://account.live.com/names/manage

If your new email isn't the primary alias, select “Make primary” beside it.

Also, please clarify whether these are photo memory emails or notifications about shared photos.

Click “Add comment” to let me know.

    Thanks!

OneDrive memory emails use your personal Microsoft account’s primary alias, so make the new address primary and allow up to 24–48 hours for the change to reach OneDrive.

Check the address OneDrive should use

    1. Open Microsoft account → Your info → Manage how you sign in to Microsoft.
    2. Confirm that the new email address is listed as the primary alias.
    3. If it is not, select Make primary beside the new address. If the address is not listed, select Add email first. Microsoft account aliases share the same OneDrive storage, subscriptions, contacts, and account settings.^1^
    4. Wait up to 24–48 hours after changing the primary alias. There is no separate recipient-address field in OneDrive Personal; its notification address follows the primary alias.^2^

You do not need to unlink the Windows OneDrive app or move your photos if both addresses are aliases of the same Microsoft account.

    Check the memory-email setting

Memory emails are managed on the OneDrive website, not in the Windows app:

    1. Sign in at OneDrive notification options using the same personal Microsoft account used by the Windows app.
    2. Open Settings → Photos.
    3. Ensure the desired memory-email options are selected.
    4. Select Save.^3^

These settings turn memory emails on or off; they do not provide a different destination-address field.

If emails still go to the old address

If more than 48 hours have passed:

    • Check the recipient shown in the email header to confirm it was actually addressed to the old address rather than forwarded there.
    • Confirm that Windows OneDrive is using the intended account: select the OneDrive cloud icon → Help & Settings → Settings → Account. If multiple Microsoft accounts exist, the notification may belong to a different OneDrive account.^4^
    • If the correct account and primary alias are shown, contact Microsoft Support from the Microsoft account email-management page; the notification recipient cannot be manually changed in the Windows OneDrive app.^1^
