Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Use Microsoft’s Manage your payments page to investigate the unfamiliar charge, then contact Microsoft Support if it cannot be identified. ^1^
Investigate the charge
- Open Manage your payments and sign in to your Microsoft account.
- Select Investigate beside the unrecognized charge.
- Check whether it belongs to:
- A recurring subscription.
- A family member or another person using your card.
- A previously declined payment being retried.
- A preorder, split shipment, or in-app purchase.
- If you use multiple Microsoft accounts, repeat the check while signed in to each one.
Talk to Microsoft billing support
Open Contact Microsoft Support, enter unrecognized billing charge, and select:
- Get Help
- Contact Support
- Sign in when prompted.
- Choose the billing-related product and category offered, then select an available chat or callback option.
This community forum cannot access account, card, or transaction records; billing support must investigate those details.
If the charge may be fraudulent
Contact your bank or card issuer immediately, report that the card may be compromised, and ask whether it should be blocked and replaced. Microsoft advises that disputing only one charge does not prevent additional unauthorized charges if someone has obtained the payment information. ^1^
Do not post the full card number, transaction ID, address, or other financial details in this public forum.
