A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
Yes. OneDrive files can be shared with another account, but the sharing behavior depends on the account type:
- If signed in with a work or school account, files can be shared with specific people inside or outside the organization.
- If signed in with a Microsoft personal account, sharing is limited to people who also have a Microsoft personal account.
For a more private share to a second account, use Specific people in the sharing settings.
A personal OneDrive account and a work or school OneDrive account cannot be merged, but they can be used side by side. Files can also be copied or dragged from one to the other after both accounts are added in the OneDrive app.
To add another account in the OneDrive desktop app on Windows:
- Select the OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area.
- Select Help and Settings > Settings.
- Open the Account tab.
- Select Add an account.
- Sign in with the other account.
