Dear Khamatee Brown,
If this is the only Global Administrator account in the tenant and the account is requiring approval from the lost Microsoft Authenticator device, this is typically considered an admin lockout scenario. For more information, please refer to Support from Microsoft
First, check whether you still have any device or browser signed in to the Global Admin account. If yes, sign in to Partner Center > Select Help + Support (or the AI Assistant) > Choose Contact Support > Create a support request and explain that you are the sole Global Administrator locked out due to a lost MFA device. For reference: Get help and contact support in Partner Center
If you cannot access Partner Center, your best option is to contact Microsoft Data Protection / Account Recovery Support and request assistance regaining access to the tenant. Microsoft will need to verify tenant ownership before they can help remove or reset the MFA requirement.
In this case, I recommend you use the Partner Support portal: Microsoft Partner Support. Microsoft provides support request creation for Partner Center programs through this portal.
If possible, you can also try calling the Technical Support phone number and explain that you are the sole Global Administrator who has lost access to the registered MFA device. The support agent can help direct the case to the appropriate account recovery or Data Protection team if required.
For a full list of regional numbers, you can also visit this official page: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support.
Note:
- You may also consider calling a Microsoft support number for a different region if support in your local region is unavailable or unable to route your case appropriately.
- While calling, you may hear an introduction of about 30 seconds such as "you can visit the link...". You can ignore it and wait until you are presented with the options.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
Unfortunately, if the account only offers approval from the lost Authenticator app and there are no alternative sign-in methods or other admins in the tenant, neither the Microsoft Community nor other users can reset the MFA for you. Only Microsoft Support can perform the verification process and assist with account recovery.
