Hello, I pre-ordered Minecraft dungeons 2 on steam here's the following issue

"Missing components Gaming services would you like toimage

install yes or no" prompt appears after launching the game and afterwards an unreal engine prompt reports a crash yet,

the game has been installed without a problem, I checked the files integrity already on the steam launcher, I used the Xbox app to fix the gaming services nothing fixed it. I forcibly re-installed gaming services with window PowerShell and it did no fix it either, the same problem occurs. I went through the files directly of the Xbox app and gaming services app to both forcibly re install them with their latest versions and it still occurs

My pc is paired with the latest windows 11 update

The drivers for the graphics card were also updated.

My pc is a GeForce rtx 4060 ti 16gb of vram, corsair 16gb of ram, AMD Ryzen 7 Ryzen 5700x

What is the fix ? Any possible way that a hot fix will be in place to fix this issue ?

    Welcome SonorWD,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.

A likely cause here is that the game is not correctly detecting the Gaming Services components even though they are installed. Since you have already repaired, reinstalled, and re-registered Gaming Services, I'd like to narrow down a few details while also suggesting a couple of quick checks.

    • Is the Microsoft Store signed in with the same Microsoft account that is signed in to the Xbox app?
    • Does the crash occur immediately after clicking "Yes" on the Gaming Services prompt, or only after the Unreal Engine crash window appears?
    • Do other Xbox-integrated games launch normally on this PC?

In the meantime, please try these steps:

Step 1: Verify Gaming Services is registered

    • Press Windows + R > type wsreset.exe and press Enter
    • Wait for the Microsoft Store to open automatically
    • Restart the PC and test the game again

Step 2: Install all Microsoft Store updates

    • Open Microsoft Store
    • Select Library
    • Click Get updates
    • Install all available updates, especially for Gaming Services, Xbox, and Xbox Identity Provider

Step 3: Launch through a clean boot

    • Press Windows + R, type msconfig, and press Enter
    • On the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services
    • Click Disable all
    • Restart the PC and test the game
