I can not sign into my account on Xbox. It does give an error code. Just an endless loop. I can sign into another account but not my main one. What needs to be done?

If only the main Xbox account fails and another account can sign in on the same device, this usually points to an account-side sign-in issue rather than a console-wide problem.

    Do this first:

    1. Use the Microsoft Sign-in Helper.
      • Enter the email address or phone number for the affected Microsoft account.
      • Follow the steps it returns for password, verification code, username, or account recovery issues.
    2. If the password is known but sign-in still loops, use the same Sign-in Helper flow.
      • That is the recommended path when the password has stopped working or the account cannot complete sign-in.
    3. If verification codes are involved, follow the verification-code troubleshooting path.
      • The account recovery guidance specifically points to verification code troubleshooting when codes are not arriving or not working.
    4. If the account is set up for passwordless sign-in and this is on Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S, use passwordless sign-in:
      • Select Use another device on the console.
      • Open the microsoft.com link shown on the console in a browser.
      • Enter the code from the console and complete sign-in with the passwordless method.
      • Xbox 360 does not support passwordless sign-in.
    5. If the loop continues with only that account, contact Microsoft Support for account-side review.
      • Use Contact Microsoft Support, enter the problem, select Get Help, and then Contact Support if offered.
      • Support agents cannot send password reset links or directly change account details.

If there was also an unusual sign-in alert on that account, review recent activity and secure the account from the Security basics page, then reset the password if needed.
